Massage Therapy Education Program

Our Massage Therapy Education program is a comprehensive full or part-time program with an emphasis on preparing graduates to excel in the field of massage therapy.

Each session is 9 weeks in length and consists of 200 hours of study. Students complete either an 800 or 1,000 hour program. Learn more about the program components or the full-time and part-time scheduling options.

The Massage Therapy Education Program at Elements of Wellness offers students small class sizes with lots of individual attention provided by an excellent, enthusiastic, experienced team of instructors and staff. Our program is not part of a technical school; we offer a personalized educational experience emphasizing a broad base of knowledge and understanding.

Specialization options include Spa Massage, Rehabilitative Massage, Asian Bodywork, Energy Modalities, Deep tissue, and Myofascial Release.

MTE Advanced Certification 
Upon satisfactory completion of the Massage Therapy Education Program (MTE), graduates will be awarded the MTE Certificate of Completion. Students will be eligible for Provisional Licensure in Missouri and will be eligible to sit for the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworkers (NCBTMB) National Certification Examination (National Exam) following completion of Core 4.

The optional 200-hour Core 5 Intensive offers specialized preparation for specific career paths and for taking the National Exam. MTE Advanced Graduates will be among the most educated and well-prepared massage therapists in the United States and will be ready to step into the career of their dreams.  Upon satisfactory completion of the Advanced Massage Therapy Education Program (MTE), graduates will be awarded the Advanced MTE Certificate of Completion.  The Massage Therapy Education Program (MTE) is a 1000 hour, 12 month long program divided into five 9-week sections referred to as Core 1, Core 2, Core 3, Core 4, and Core 5 Intensive.

MTE Certification Students are eligible to sit for the National Exam and are eligible for Missouri Licensure following Core 4 (800 credit hours). It is highly recommended that students complete the additional 200 hour Core 5 Intensive portion of the course as it will prepare them for their specific chosen career path and offers thorough preparation for the National Exam.

Students may exit following Core 4 with the addition of completing a culminating project and the 24-hour Introduction to National Exam Preparation class. Students choosing to exit the program following Core 4 will be awarded the MTE Certificate of Completion. Additional National Exam Preparation is available to MTE graduates at an additional cost.
