Careers
in the Healing Arts
Is this the career
of your dreams? Our focus is on your dreams, your career, and your success.
Along with teaching you skills in the healing arts, we will also work
with you to ensure your future career either as a licensed massage therapist
or as a practitioner of energy and somatic healing.
Benefits of our program
include career counseling and job placement assistance that is focused
to your goals. We'll assist and support you in making decisions about
your new career. We consider this a critical part of our teaching for
professionals. For instance, we provide information regarding massage
therapy positions available within a 100 mile radius.
Where
are massage therapists and energy healers employed?
Spas and health clubs, doctor's offices, sports medicine, pain clinics,
chiropractic and naturopathic clinics, and wellness centers. A high percentage
of massage therapists and healers are self-employed.
Why
is this a growing field?
The medical benefits of massage and energy work are becoming more widely
known. As a result, more naturopaths, acupuncturists, chiropractors, physical
therapists, and physicians will refer their patients to massage therapists
and energy workers.
What
does it take to be successful?
Competition for clients is strong. Massage therapists and energy workers
need an understanding of good business practices to succeed, including
actively marketing your services and growing your client base through
good word of mouth. |
