Jessica
Appel: Massage Theory and Practice, Business
Jessica is a Nationally certified Massage Therapist since 2002 and has
been teaching since the beginning of 2006. She works part time owning
her own Massage Business doing outcalls and Seated Massage in businesses.
She specializes in Prenatal Massage, Reflexology, MFR, and Trigger Point
therapy. Jessica believes the body has the power to heal itself and with
Massage Therapy you can help people find pain relief and balance. She
directs each massage to the needs of that client and loves Massage Therapy
just as much today as on her first day of school. Owning her own business
and working in many different environments has given her a variety of
experiences that she loves to share with her students.
Karen Broyles: Qi Gong, Integrative Eclectic Shiatsu/Asian Bodywork, Traditional Chinese Medicine
Karen is a Diplomate of Asian Bodywork Therapy, NCCAOM
Certified (National Certification Commission forAcupuncture and Oriental Medicine). She has been a Certified Practitioner in the AOBTA (American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia) since1995. She is an Associate Member in the Society of Ortho-Bionomy International (r), with over 480 hours
of study in Ortho-Bionomy (r). She received her training in Integrative Eclectic Shiatsu at Blue Cliff School of Therapeutic Massage in Kenner, LA (a suburb of New Orleans). In New Orleans, Karen specialized in working with those dealing with chronic pain or illness, including terminal illness, attended births as a Doula (labor support), and taught Traditional Chinese Medicine principles at area conferences.
Currently, she coordinates Ortho-Bionomy workshops, and teaches and practices Shiatsu, Qi Gong, and Yang style T'ai Chi.
Jaye Marking: Business
Jayne is a graduate, with honors, from Lindenwood University. Her extensive background includes management of multi-million dollar manufacturing facilities, purchasing, sales, Human Resouce management, account management, and Administrative Director of Elements of Wellness, Inc.
Lucinda
Sohn: Business, Massage Theory and Practice, Anatomy and Physiology
Lucinda is a Missouri Licensed, Nationally Certified Massage Therapist
and Usui and Karuna Reiki Master Teacher. Lucinda has studied and practiced
massage therapy techniques since 1994, and as a Voice Therapist specialized
in techniques to relieve muscle tension in the neck and TMJ since 1984.
Lucinda has been teaching courses and holding workshops in the St. Louis
area since 1990, teaching nearly 1000 hours a year the past four years.
Co-owner of Elements of Wellness, Inc., Lucinda offers continuing education
for massage therapists, offers an Internship program and sponsors network
and study groups. She also teaches Usui and Karuna Reiki classes, leads
weekly meditations, and sponsors a Reiki share group.
